Cavo AOC in fibra ottica BlueOptics P08230-001-BO QSFP56–QSFP56, 10 m, ciano

BlueOptics P08230-001-BO is a 10 m active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP56 connectors on both ends, provided in cyan colour for easy identification. Designed for InfiniBand and other high-speed fibre applications, this QSFP56–QSFP56 AOC offers direct, low-latency connectivity between QSFP56-capable switches, servers and network interface cards. The cable integrates optical transceivers and complies with common MSA interface conventions to deliver consistent multi-lane data transmission across data centre interconnects.

Advantages

The BlueOptics QSFP56–QSFP56 10 m AOC provides high-bandwidth links with reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper alternatives and ensures predictable signal integrity over short to medium rack-to-rack distances. As an active optical assembly, it supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, enabling reliable full-duplex communication. The cyan jacket aids in cable management and quick identification within densely cabled environments.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP56–QSFP56 AOC by inserting each QSFP56 connector into the corresponding port until it seats securely; no separate transceiver modules are required. Ensure both ends are connected to QSFP56-capable ports and that host equipment firmware or drivers support QSFP56 AOC links. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the recommended bend radius for optical assemblies; secure the cable to racks or cable-management structures as needed to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify compatibility with the network equipment vendor’s supported transceivers list and confirm that port settings match the intended multi-lane protocol. Keep the cable free from kinks, avoid exposure to excessive heat, and periodically inspect connector endfaces for contamination; clean with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools if required.
