Cavo audio ShiverPeaks BS10005 5 m DIN (5 poli) nero

The ShiverPeaks BS10005 5m DIN (5-pin) Black is an audio patch cable designed for linking audio equipment with standard 5-pin DIN sockets. The cable measures 5 meters in length and features male DIN (5-pin) connectors on both ends. Constructed with quality copper conductors and nickel-plated contact surfaces, it provides reliable analogue signal transmission and mechanical robustness. The black outer jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for home studios, stage setups, and hi-fi systems.

Advantages

This audio cable combines a moderate 5 m length with flexible handling, allowing connections across short-to-medium distances without excessive slack. Copper conductors ensure good conductivity for low-loss signal transfer, while nickel-plated contacts increase resistance to corrosion and frequent mating cycles. The matching male DIN (5-pin) connectors on both ends make the cable suitable for legacy and modern equipment that use the DIN standard, and the black jacket provides a discreet visual profile.

Suitable for

• Connecting vintage audio equipment with 5-pin DIN sockets
• Patching audio devices in home studios and rehearsal rooms
• Integrating MIDI devices or control interfaces that use 5-pin DIN wiring (where wiring corresponds)
• Temporary stage or live sound connections requiring a 5 m reach

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connectors: male DIN, 5-pin on both ends
• Conductor material: copper
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts
• Colour: black outer jacket

How to use

Inspect connectors and equipment sockets for compatibility before connecting. Align the 5-pin DIN plugs with the corresponding socket keying and insert gently until seated; avoid forcing the connector. Route the cable to minimise contact with power lines and moving stage elements to reduce interference and mechanical wear. When disconnecting, pull the connector body rather than the cable jacket to preserve strain relief and prolong service life.

Recommendations

For optimal audio performance, keep cable runs as short as practical, avoid sharp bends near the connectors, and store the cable coiled loosely when not in use. Verify pin assignments when using the cable for MIDI or bespoke control wiring to ensure correct signal routing and prevent equipment damage.
