Monitor the thermal indicator during use and stop operation if the cut-out activates; allow the reel to cool before resetting or restarting.

Recommendations

For safe operation, avoid running the reel fully wound under high loads—fully unwinding the cable reduces heat build-up. Regularly inspect the cable and sockets for damage and replace or repair if any wear or faults are found. Use the reel in accordance with local electrical codes and the rated capacity of connected equipment.
