Cavo di rete Gembird 305m Cat5e S-FTP grigio

The Gembird 305m Cat5e S-FTP Grey networking cable is a bulk installation cable intended for structured cabling and long runs where consistent Cat5e performance is required. The cable meets Cat5e transmission characteristics and uses S-FTP (overall braided shield plus individually foil-shielded pairs) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk over extended distances. Supplied in a 305-meter reel, the grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for professional and residential installations.

Advantages

The S-FTP shielding improves immunity to external noise and helps maintain signal integrity in environments with multiple electrical sources or adjacent cables. The Cat5e specification supports high-speed Ethernet applications up to 1 Gbps under appropriate network equipment and installation practices. A 305 m reel reduces the need for multiple shorter lengths, simplifying cable runs and allowing clean terminations at both ends.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and commercial premises
• Home network backbone and long horizontal runs
• Connections between switches, patch panels and wall outlets
• Environments requiring improved shielding against interference

Key specifications

• Length: 305 m
• Category: Cat5e
• Shielding: S-FTP (braided overall shield with foil individual pair shields)
• Jacket colour: Grey
• Conductor type: stranded or solid depending on installer termination practice (check intended connectors)

How to use

Measure and plan the cable route before unspooling to avoid kinks or excessive bending. Cut the required length and terminate both ends using compatible Cat5e RJ45 connectors or punch down onto patch panels and keystone jacks designed for the conductor type. Observe standard installation practices: maintain minimum bend radius, avoid running parallel to power cables where possible, and use appropriate cable management and strain relief to ensure reliable long-term performance.

Recommendations

For best results, test terminated links with a certified cable tester to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance up to Cat5e parameters. In high-interference environments consider additional grounding of shields and follow local cabling standards for installation and labeling.
