Cavo Firewire ShiverPeaks AK FW 4-4 3M — 4 poli ST a 4 poli ST, 3 m

The ShiverPeaks AK FW 4-4 3M is a 3-meter FireWire (IEEE 1394) cable with 4-pin ST connectors on both ends, designed to provide a shielded, point-to-point connection between compatible digital audio, video and data devices. This cable supports digital transfers for DV camcorders, audio interfaces, external FireWire drives and other legacy equipment that require a compact 4-pin connector. Its length offers flexibility for studio setups, home recording rigs and portable device connections while maintaining a straightforward, analog-free digital link.

Advantages

The cable features a standardized 4-pin FireWire termination on each end to ensure compatibility with devices using the compact connector format. Its shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and helps maintain signal integrity during digital transfers. The 3 m length gives freedom of placement without undue cable tension, and the fixed, molded connectors provide a reliable mechanical and electrical fit for repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting DV camcorders to compatible capture devices or editing systems
• Linking audio interfaces and mixers that use 4-pin FireWire ports
• Connecting external FireWire hard drives and storage units
• Establishing point-to-point data transfer between legacy FireWire devices

Key specifications

• Cable standard: IEEE 1394 (FireWire)
• Connector type: 4-pin ST on both ends
• Length: 3 meters
• Shielding: braided/foil shielding for EMI/RFI reduction
• Intended signal: digital audio, video and data transfer
• Usage: point-to-point device connections (no power pin on 4-pin variant)

How to use

Connect one 4-pin ST plug to the FireWire port of the source device (for example, a DV camcorder or audio interface) and insert the other 4-pin ST plug into the port of the target device such as a capture card, external drive or computer interface. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the connection if the devices recommend that procedure; power them on afterwards and configure the host system or application to recognize the connected device. Avoid excessive bending near the connector ends and route the cable to prevent strain or pinching.

Recommendations

For reliable transfers, use the cable for device-to-device connections where a compact 4-pin FireWire connector is required. Keep cable runs away from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. If connecting external drives, ensure the drive has its own power supply if required, since the 4-pin FireWire connector does not supply power on the line.
