Cavo Firewire ShiverPeaks AK FW 9P-6P 1,8–2,0 m, connessione da 9 poli a 6 poli IEEE 1394

ShiverPeaks AK FW 9P-6P is a FireWire (IEEE 1394) cable with a 9-pin to 6-pin connection and a usable length of approximately 1.8–2.0 m. The cable supports standard FireWire 1394b/400 device interconnection where a 9-pin port on a host or hub is converted to a 6-pin port on a peripheral. It is intended for connecting compatible audio interfaces, digital video cameras, external hard drives and other legacy devices that require a 9P-to-6P interface.

Advantages

The cable provides a reliable physical connection between devices with different FireWire connector types without the need for adapters. Its length of approximately 1.8–2.0 m offers flexible placement of connected equipment while maintaining signal integrity for typical consumer and professional multimedia setups. The construction meets FireWire electrical and mechanical conventions for the supported connector types, enabling straightforward plug-and-play operation with compatible equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting camcorders or digital video cameras to computers or recorders with a 9-pin FireWire port
• Linking audio interfaces and mixers that use FireWire to workstations or hubs
• Attaching external FireWire hard drives to legacy desktop or laptop systems
• Integrating legacy IEEE 1394 peripherals into existing AV or recording setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: 9-pin (9P) to 6-pin (6P) FireWire (IEEE 1394)
• Cable length: approximately 1.8–2.0 m
• Supported interface generations: compatible with standard FireWire 1394b/400 device interconnection scenarios
• Data link: designed for typical FireWire multimedia and storage data rates
• Intended use: audio, video and data device connections requiring 9P-to-6P wiring

How to use

Connect the 9-pin end to the host device or hub equipped with a 9P FireWire port and plug the 6-pin end into the peripheral device. Ensure both devices are powered off or follow the manufacturer’s hot-plugging guidance when making the connection. After connection, power on devices and verify the operating system or device firmware recognizes the peripheral; install any required drivers or software for the specific hardware if necessary.

Recommendations

Position the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of high-interference power sources. For reliable long-term performance, avoid stretching the cable and make firm but gentle connector insertions; when used with legacy equipment, confirm device compatibility and required drivers before critical recording or transfer sessions.
