Cavo gender changer DELOCK Sub-D 15 (connettore femmina-femmina), blu/argento, modello 65480

DELOCK Sub-D 15 gender changer model 65480 is a compact female-to-female adapter designed to join two devices or cables with Sub-D 15 ports. Finished in blue and silver, the adapter provides a straightforward mechanical solution to convert a male Sub-D 15 connection into a female one, allowing compatibility between serial, VGA or custom equipment that use the 15-pin D-sub interface.

Advantages

The adapter offers a simple and space-saving way to change connector gender without modifying cables or equipment. Its metal housings ensure stable mechanical alignment and reliable contact between connected Sub-D 15 connectors. The compact design reduces strain on attached cables and fits easily in rack, desk or panel installations where a short, robust female-to-female connection is required.

Suitable for

• Connecting two Sub-D 15 (15-pin D-sub) cables or devices when a female-to-female interface is needed
• Serial communication setups that use a 15-pin connector
• VGA or analog video links that require a female-to-female adapter
• Custom wiring or testing where gender conversion is necessary

Key specifications

• Connector type: Sub-D 15 (female) on both ends
• Number of pins: 15
• Housing finish: blue and silver
• Construction: compact female-to-female gender changer
• Mechanical retention: screw-lock fittings compatible with standard Sub-D thumbscrews

How to use

Align the female connector of the gender changer with the male Sub-D 15 port of the cable or device, then engage the thumbscrews to secure the connection. Repeat the process on the opposite side to join the second male connector. Ensure both thumbscrews are tightened adequately to maintain stable contact and prevent accidental disconnection during use. No additional tools or wiring changes are required.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, indoor environments and avoid excessive mechanical stress or bending at the connection points. For applications involving critical signals, verify pin mapping and signal compatibility before permanent installation. When used in VGA or analog video setups, keep cable lengths and signal integrity requirements in mind to prevent image degradation.
