Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik LC-ST 50/125µ InfiniBand 2 m rosa

The EFB Elektronik LC-ST 50/125µ InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 2 m, full-duplex patch cable designed for high-speed data links. It uses OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and terminated with an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other. The cable supports low insertion loss and stable signal transmission for short- to medium-range connections in data centres, network racks and server-to-switch links. Its pink jacket provides easy visual identification in cable bundles and structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers OM4 multimode performance suitable for higher bandwidth applications and longer multimode reach compared with lower-grade multimode fibres. Full-duplex termination ensures simultaneous transmit and receive channels for InfiniBand and other high-speed serial links. The LC and ST connector combination provides compatibility with equipment using different connector types without additional adapters, while low attenuation and controlled return loss maintain signal integrity in demanding installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and rack-to-rack links
• InfiniBand networks and high-speed storage area networks (SAN)
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch multimode connections
• Structured cabling where colour coding simplifies cable management

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 2 m
• Polarity: Full duplex
• Connector A: LC
• Connector B: ST
• Jacket colour: Pink
• Typical use: Short- to medium-range high-speed links

How to use

Inspect both connectors and the equipment ports to ensure they are free from dust or debris before insertion. Align the LC connector with the corresponding LC port and insert until it clicks; insert the ST connector into the matching ST port and secure it with the bayonet coupling. Verify link lights or diagnostics on connected devices to confirm successful connection and check for expected signal quality. When routing the cable, avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre to prevent attenuation increases.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable using protective dust caps when ports are not in use, perform periodic visual inspections and cleaning with appropriate fibre cleaning tools, and label the cable in line with your colour-coded cabling plan to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.
