Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics 10G-SFPP-TWX-0501 5 m SFP+

The BlueOptics 10G-SFPP-TWX-0501 InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m SFP+ is a single-cable solution for high-speed short-reach connections in data centers and server rooms. Designed to carry 10 Gbps over multimode fibre with SFP+ compatible transceivers on both ends, this 5-metre cable supports reliable low-latency links between switches, storage arrays and network interface cards. The construction and connector type are intended for environments where consistent throughput and signal integrity are essential.

Advantages

This BlueOptics cable provides stable 10 Gbps performance with SFP+ form-factor compatibility, reducing link errors and ensuring predictable network behaviour. Its 5 m length offers flexible routing in rack-mounted infrastructures while keeping insertion loss and attenuation minimal. The cable is designed for easy installation and interoperability with standard InfiniBand and SFP+ ports, enabling fast deployment without additional adaptation.

Suitable for

• Connecting SFP+ ports between switches and servers within racks
• Short-distance InfiniBand links in data centres and clustered systems
• High-throughput storage networking and SAN interconnects
• Low-latency HPC and virtualization environments

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ compatible on both ends
• Length: 5 metres
• Transmission medium: multimode fibre (designed for short-reach InfiniBand/SFP+ links)
• Typical use: rack-to-rack and in-rack server/switch connections

How to use

Ensure both connected devices support SFP+ transceivers and are powered down according to your maintenance procedures before inserting the cable. Align and insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding port until it latches; verify link LEDs or management interfaces to confirm the connection is active. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it within the rack to prevent strain on connectors. For removal, depress the latch mechanism and pull the connector straight out.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short horizontal or in-rack connections where 10 Gbps throughput is required. Avoid bending below the specified minimum bend radius and protect connectors from dust when not in use. Verify compatibility with the SFP+ modules and InfiniBand equipment in your environment before deployment to ensure full interoperability.
