Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-20M-BO SFP+ 20 m maschio/maschio

The BlueOptics AC-SFP+-VKMM-20M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP+ 20m Male/Male is a 20‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed short‑reach links. It uses multimode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end to support 10G data rates over a 20 m span and conforms to SFP+ module mechanical standards for direct SFP+ to SFP+ connections. The cable is intended for use in network switches, routers and storage systems that accept SFP+ AOC modules and require reliable optical connectivity for InfiniBand and 10G Ethernet applications.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC provides a fixed 20 m optical link without the need for separate transceivers and patch cables, reducing connector loss and simplifying installation. Integrated transmitter and receiver modules ensure consistent signal performance across the full cable length, while the SFP+ male-to-male connections offer plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that supports SFP+ AOC modules. The multimode design supports short‑reach high bandwidth applications and helps maintain stable throughput for data centre interconnects.

Suitable for

• Short‑reach 10G Ethernet links inside data centres and server rooms
• InfiniBand connections requiring SFP+ AOC cabling
• Interconnects between switches, routers and storage arrays within a 20 m range

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors
• Length: 20 metres
• Connector configuration: Male SFP+ to Male SFP+
• Supported data rate: up to 10 Gbps
• Fibre type: multimode fibre with integrated Tx/Rx modules
• Intended use: short‑reach InfiniBand and 10GBASE‑SR/10G Ethernet applications

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your devices until the latch engages. Ensure both endpoints are powered and that the connected hardware supports SFP+ AOC modules. No external transceivers or additional patch cords are required; the cable’s integrated modules handle optical conversion. Verify link status on both devices and check system logs or management interfaces if the link does not come up automatically.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain, maintain the recommended bend radius for multimode AOC cables, and keep connectors clean and free of dust. Use this 20 m AOC for intra‑rack or adjacent‑rack connections where 10G performance and low latency are required. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules in vendor documentation before deployment.
