Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics D0R73-BL 2 m SFP28 connettore maschio/connettore maschio

The BlueOptics D0R73-BL InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a 2 m connection cable with SFP28 male-to-male connectors designed for high-speed data links in racks and adjacent rack connections. It supports 25GBase-CR class applications including Ethernet, FCoE and InfiniBand over short distances where a direct attach solution is required. The cable is MSA-compliant and built using industry-standard materials to ensure interoperability with equipment that supports SFP28 interfaces.

Advantages

This 2 m SFP28 passive direct attach cable offers low latency and low power consumption for short-distance high-speed links. Manufactured to MSA guidelines and assembled with quality components, the cable provides reliable electrical signal transfer on short runs and broad compatibility with switches, routers and storage systems that accept SFP28 direct-attach twinax connections. The passive design keeps complexity and failure points minimal, supporting a long service life and straightforward installation.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches and routers within the same rack or between adjacent racks
• High-speed server-to-switch links in data centres and enterprise networks
• Storage systems and SAN uplinks using 25GBase-CR or compatible protocols
• Environments requiring low-latency, short-reach connections with SFP28 ports

Key specifications

• Length: 2 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Supported data rates: up to 25 Gbit/s per link (25GBase-CR class)
• Cable type: passive direct attach twinax (short-reach electrical transmission)
• Wire gauge: 30 AWG construction for twinax conductor
• Standards: MSA-compliant SFP28 form factor

How to use

Install the BlueOptics D0R73-BL by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port of the devices to be linked, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and the device link LEDs indicate an active connection. No external power or transceiver modules are required for passive twinax operation; device ports must support passive DAC cables. For best results, route the cable to avoid excessive bending and mechanical strain and verify link negotiation and speed settings on connected hardware.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short-distance, high-speed links where a cost-effective, low-latency, passive SFP28 direct attach solution is appropriate. Confirm that both devices officially support passive SFP28 DACs and that firmware or driver settings allow 25GBase-CR operation before deployment. Avoid routing through hot or high-vibration areas and maintain a minimum bend radius consistent with twinax construction to preserve signal integrity.
