Cavo in fibra ottica ProXtend LC-LC UPC OM3 Duplex MM 5M

The ProXtend LC-LC UPC OM3 Duplex MM 5M fiber cable is a 5-metre multimode patch cable designed for high-speed, long-distance data transmission in networks that require low attenuation and high bandwidth. It has a 50 µm glass core and LC connectors on both ends, with a LSZH jacket for improved safety in enclosed spaces and an operating temperature range from -20 °C to 70 °C.

Advantages

This cable supports full duplex communication with UPC-polished LC-LC connectors and complies with OM3 multimode standards to provide enhanced bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion. The 50 µm core diameter and quality glass construction ensure reliable signal integrity over typical data centre and enterprise distances, while the LSZH outer jacket reduces the risk from toxic fumes in case of fire.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centres
• High-speed LAN and SAN links within office and campus environments
• Multimode fibre runs requiring OM3 performance for 10 Gbit/s and higher
• Short- to medium-distance backbone and horizontal cabling

How to use

Inspect connectors and ports for dust or damage before installation. Align and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use proper bend radii for multimode fibre and secure the cable to avoid strain on connectors. For best performance, keep connectors capped when not in use and follow standard fibre handling and cleaning procedures.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 duplex cable for 10 Gbit/s LAN and SAN links and for short- to medium-distance multimode applications; avoid tight bends and protect the LSZH jacket from sharp edges during installation.
