Cavo ottico attivo DeLOCK 83217 USB 10 Gbps Type-A a Micro-B 15 m

The Active Optical Cable DeLOCK 83217 is a 15 m USB cable with a USB Type-A plug and a Micro-USB B connector designed for high-speed data transmission. The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1 Gen 2) with up to 10 Gbps transfer rate. The Micro-USB connector uses screws to secure the connection and reduce the risk of accidental unplugging.

Advantages

The cable uses optical fiber to transmit signals, which makes it thinner, lighter and capable of maintaining high-speed transmission over longer distances without signal loss compared to traditional copper cables. Its outer jacket is made of durable NBR material, providing flexibility and resistance suitable for use in drag chains and demanding environments. It supports USB 10 Gbps devices while remaining compatible with USB 2.0 equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting Micro-USB B devices to a computer or laptop over long distances
• High-speed data transfer tasks that require up to 10 Gbps throughput
• Environments where a flexible, durable cable is needed (e.g., drag chains)
• Applications requiring a mechanically secured Micro-USB connection

Key specifications

• Brand: DELOCK
• Model: 83217
• Connectors: USB A to Micro-USB B (screw-secured)
• USB version: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1 Gen 2), up to 10 Gbps
• Cable length: 15 m
• Product colour: Black
• Jacket material: NBR (durable, flexible)

How to use

Insert the USB Type-A plug into a free USB port on your PC or laptop and connect the Micro-USB B connector to the target device. Fasten the screws on the Micro-USB connector to secure the connection and prevent accidental disconnection. Ensure both connected devices support the required USB mode for the desired data rate; USB 3.2 Gen 2 compatible devices will achieve up to 10 Gbps, while older USB 2.0 devices will operate at their respective lower speeds.

Recommendations

For reliable high-speed transmission, avoid sharp bends near the connector ends and route the 15 m cable to minimize tight loops. Use in environments compatible with NBR jacket properties and secure the screw connections if the device is subject to movement or vibration.
