Cavo prolunga VivoLink USB 3.0 Type-A maschio-maschio PROKEYUSB3AFBM2B, 2 m, nero

VivoLink PROKEYUSB3AFBM2B is a 2 m USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-A extension cable in black designed to extend or reposition connections between devices with standard USB-A ports. The cable supports USB 3.0 data transfer rates, enabling high-speed communication between a host device and peripherals while preserving backward compatibility with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Its straightforward Type-A to Type-A design is intended for use where an extended reach or easier access to USB ports is required.

Advantages

The cable provides reliable USB 3.0 performance for data transfer and peripheral connectivity, offering a simple way to extend existing USB-A connections without adapters. With a 2 m length and standard USB-A connectors, it facilitates flexible placement of external drives, docking stations and other accessories. The black jacket and molded connectors are designed for everyday use and easy handling.

Suitable for

• Extending the reach of a computer's USB-A port to connect external hard drives or flash storage
• Connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers or webcams when additional cable length is needed
• Linking docking stations or USB hubs that use standard Type-A connections
• Temporary setups where devices must be repositioned without changing original cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB 3.0 Type-A (male) to USB 3.0 Type-A (female)
• Data transfer standard: USB 3.0 (backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1)
• Cable length: 2 m
• Color: Black
• Typical use: Extension cable for devices with standard USB-A ports

How to use

Plug the male Type-A connector into the host device or hub, and attach the peripheral's Type-A plug to the female end of the extension cable. Ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain a secure connection. For optimal transfer rates, connect devices that support USB 3.0 to USB 3.0 ports; when connected to slower ports the cable will operate at the lower port speed. Avoid sharp bends and heavy strain on the connectors to preserve cable integrity.

Recommendations

Use this cable to increase accessibility to rear-mounted or hard-to-reach USB-A ports, and prefer direct connections to USB 3.0 ports when high data throughput is needed. For sustained high-speed transfers, keep the total chain of cables and adapters minimal and avoid passive extensions beyond recommended lengths.
