Cavo USB ShiverPeaks Basic-S USB 3.2 Gen 2 2m USB A USB C grigio

The ShiverPeaks Basic-S USB cable is a 2 meter grey data and charging cable with a USB A connector on one end and a USB C connector on the other. It supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 2) for data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbit/s and features gold-plated contacts to reduce corrosion and improve signal reliability. The cable is designed for general-purpose connections between modern USB-C devices and legacy USB-A hosts.

Advantages

The cable delivers high-speed data transfer up to 10 Gbit/s, enabling rapid file copying and media streaming. Gold-plated contacts improve long-term contact reliability and reduce the risk of intermittent connections. A two-metre length offers flexibility for desktop and living-room setups where longer reach is needed. The grey finish provides a neutral aesthetic that blends with most equipment and workspaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting external SSDs, HDDs or flash drives with USB-C to a USB-A port
• Synchronising and transferring large files between computers and mobile devices
• Connecting USB-C peripherals (keyboards, audio interfaces, docking stations) to USB-A hosts
• Charging devices from USB-A chargers or power banks where USB-C input is supported (charging speed depends on the host and device)

Key specifications

• Connectors: USB A (male) to USB C (male)
• USB version: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2), up to 10 Gbit/s
• Cable length: 2 m
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Colour: grey

How to use

Insert the USB A connector into an available USB-A port on your computer, charger or power bank and plug the USB C connector into the USB-C device. For data transfer, ensure the host and device support USB 3.2 Gen 2 to attain the maximum 10 Gbit/s throughput; otherwise the connection will operate at the highest mutually supported speed. For charging, check the power output of the USB-A source and the charging specifications of the connected device to determine charging rate.

Recommendations

Keep connectors clean and avoid sharp bends near the cable ends to preserve contact integrity and performance. Use the 2 m length to position devices comfortably while maintaining a tidy workspace. If maximum transfer speed is required, connect both ends to ports that explicitly support USB 3.2 Gen 2.
