The Rittal VX 8618.320 door hinge is a set of four grey steel hinges designed for robust door mounting in industrial and commercial enclosures. Manufactured by Rittal, these hinges provide stable pivoting and secure attachment for cabinet and enclosure doors where durability and reliable operation are required. How to use

Mount the hinges to the door and the enclosure frame using appropriate fasteners for the door material and thickness. Ensure proper alignment of hinge pivot points before fully tightening the fasteners to achieve a smooth opening and closing action. When replacing existing hinges, remove old fittings and compare hole patterns to confirm compatibility; make any necessary adjustments to mounting holes or use suitable adapters. Periodically check fasteners and hinge operation as part of routine maintenance.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant fasteners and, where exposure to moisture or aggressive environments is expected, consider additional protective coatings. For heavy or frequently used doors, verify hinge load capacity and spacing to prevent premature wear. Store unused hinges in a dry environment to avoid surface oxidation prior to installation.
