Chiavetta USB iStorage 8GB USB 3.0 IS-FL-DAP3-B-8

The iStorage datAshur Personal2 is an 8 GB USB 3.0 flash drive that secures sensitive files with AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption and a PIN-protected onboard keypad. The device encrypts data in real time and locks automatically when unplugged or when USB power is removed. It operates without requiring additional software or drivers and includes a rechargeable battery to allow PIN entry before connecting to a host computer.

Advantages

Hardware-based AES-XTS 256-bit encryption provides full disk protection independent of host software. PIN authentication via the integrated keypad prevents access without user knowledge of a 7–15 digit PIN. Real-time encryption ensures files are encrypted as they are written to the drive. Automatic lock on removal or power loss protects data if the device is lost or stolen. USB 3.0 interface offers fast transfer rates while the compact sleeve form factor and 20 g weight make the drive convenient for mobile use.

Suitable for

• Transporting confidential work documents
• Storing personal sensitive files and photos
• Secure backup of small volumes of data
• Use when software installation on host devices is not possible

How to use

Enter a 7–15 digit PIN using the integrated keypad while the drive has sufficient battery power, then connect the datAshur Personal2 to a USB port on your computer. The drive will be recognised as a standard USB storage device; transfer files as you would with any flash drive. When finished, safely eject and unplug the device— it will lock automatically on removal or when USB power is cut, requiring the PIN for the next access.

Recommendations

Choose a PIN that is not easily guessable and keep it confidential. Maintain a secure copy of critical files elsewhere as this device secures but does not replace a backup strategy. Recharge the internal battery periodically to ensure you can enter the PIN before connecting the drive.
