Chiavetta USB MediaRange MR1904 512 GB USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) nero/argento

The MediaRange MR1904 is a 512 GB USB flash drive with a USB Type-A connector and support for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as 3.1 Gen 1). It combines a compact aluminium housing with a protective cap and a two-tone black and silver finish, providing portable storage for documents, photos, music and video with fast transfer rates and broad operating system compatibility.

Advantages

The drive delivers high read speeds up to 250 MB/s and write speeds up to 160 MB/s, enabling quick file transfers and efficient backups. Its aluminium body and protective cap offer physical protection against dust and minor impacts, while the USB-A interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of computers and devices. The 512 GB capacity provides ample space for large media libraries or extensive archives.

Suitable for

• Transferring large files between computers
• Portable backups of documents and photos
• Carrying media collections for playback on compatible devices
• Temporary storage for work or study projects

When it may not be suitable

The MR1904 uses a USB-A connector and USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds; it may not be ideal for devices that only offer USB-C ports without an adapter. For workflows that require sustained write performance well above the specified 160 MB/s (for example very large uninterrupted video recording or continuous high-speed data logging), a drive with higher guaranteed sustained write rates or an SSD may be more appropriate.

Key specifications

• Capacity: 512 GB
• Interface: USB Type-A
• USB standard: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1)
• Maximum read speed: up to 250 MB/s
• Maximum write speed: up to 160 MB/s
• Housing: aluminium with protective cap
• Colour: black and silver
• Weight: approx. 0.015 kg

How to use

Remove the protective cap and insert the USB-A connector into a compatible USB port on your computer or device. The drive is recognized by common operating systems and can be used immediately for copying, moving or opening files. Safely eject the drive via the operating system before removing it to avoid data corruption. Use the aluminium cap to protect the connector when transporting the drive.

What to consider before purchase

• Check that your computer or device has a USB-A port or plan to use an appropriate adapter for USB-C only devices.
• Consider whether peak read/write speeds and the stated sustained write rate meet your transfer or recording needs.
• Decide if a 512 GB capacity matches your storage requirements or if a larger/smaller capacity is preferable.

Recommendations

For reliable everyday use, keep the protective cap on when the drive is not in use, avoid exposing the aluminium housing to heavy impact or moisture, and perform regular backups of important data rather than relying on a single storage device.
