Cisco SFP-H25G-CU5M= cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica 5 m SFP28 nero

The Cisco SFP-H25G-CU5M= InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a 5-metre direct-attach copper solution with SFP28 male connectors at both ends designed for 25 Gigabit Ethernet links. Suited for data centre and enterprise network environments, this cable provides a compact, low-latency physical connection between SFP28 ports for short-reach interconnects. The black jacket and SFP28 form factor ensure compatibility with SFP28 ports and consistent physical handling.

Advantages

This 5 m SFP28 cable offers a reliable and straightforward way to establish high-speed 25 Gbit/s links without the need for transceivers, reducing power consumption and system complexity. The male-to-male SFP28 terminations simplify deployment in top-of-rack and switch-to-switch connections, while the fixed copper medium provides predictable electrical performance and low latency suitable for high-performance computing and storage networks.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in data centres
• High-performance computing cluster interconnects
• Enterprise network uplinks and aggregation links requiring 25 Gbit/s
• Rack-level cabling in environments prioritising low latency and low power

Key specifications

• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Media: direct-attach copper (fixed cable)
• Colour: black

How to use

Install the Cisco SFP-H25G-CU5M= by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on the two devices to be connected, ensuring the connector latches engage. Confirm port configuration and link settings in the devices' management interface and verify the physical link LED indicators. No additional transceivers or fibre management are required; handle the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive mechanical stress during installation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this cable for short-distance direct connections within the same rack or adjacent racks. Avoid routing the cable near sources of strong electromagnetic interference and maintain bend radii recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Verify that connected devices support 25 Gbit/s operation over SFP28 direct-attach copper to ensure compatibility.
