CBO InfiniBand / SFP+ cavo ottico attivo CBL-10GSFP-AOC-20M-BO 20 m arancione

CBO CBL-10GSFP-AOC-20M-BO is a 20 meter active optical cable with SFP+ connectors, presented in an orange jacket for easy identification. It provides a direct fiber link for 10 Gbit/s SFP+ and InfiniBand ports without the need for separate transceivers, enabling low-latency, high-bandwidth connections between network switches, servers and storage devices. The cable is intended for short- to medium-reach interconnects inside data centers, rack-to-rack links and high-performance computing clusters.

Advantages

The active optical design integrates the optical transceiver functions into the cable ends, reducing component count and simplifying installation while delivering 10 Gbit/s throughput and low latency. The 20 m length allows flexible placement of equipment between racks or across aisles without optical patch panels. The orange jacket improves cable management and makes the link easier to trace. As a direct-attach solution, it eliminates the need to purchase separate SFP+ modules and fiber patch cords.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding 10 Gbit/s SFP+ or InfiniBand port on your switches, servers or storage devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered and support active optical cable connections; the link should be recognized automatically by most network hardware. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress and secure it with cable management accessories to maintain airflow and organization in racks.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with your equipment vendor's SFP+ specifications before deployment. Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer's minimum bend radius and protect connectors when not in use. For reliable performance in data center deployments, use proper cable management and label both ends for easier maintenance.
