Cavo CBO MiniSAS-HD 00AR311 2 m 12 Gbit/s — cavo dati esterno MiniSAS-HD, 2 metri, 12 Gbit/s

The CBO MiniSAS-HD Cable 00AR311 is an external MiniSAS‑HD data cable with a 2 m length and a rated throughput of 12 Gbit/s. It is designed to connect storage enclosures, RAID controllers and host adapters that use MiniSAS‑HD interfaces, providing a stable physical link for high‑speed data transfer in rack, NAS and enterprise storage setups. The cable supports external MiniSAS‑HD connectors and is intended for short to medium reach connections between server components and external storage devices.

Advantages

This MiniSAS‑HD cable offers high data throughput of up to 12 Gbit/s over a 2 m length, ensuring low-latency transfers for multi‑lane SAS links. Its external construction is suitable for rack and chassis environments, delivering reliable signal integrity for storage arrays, RAID controllers and host adapters with MiniSAS‑HD ports. The cable’s design simplifies connectivity between servers and external storage without introducing unnecessary slack or excessive cable length in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting external storage enclosures to host adapters and RAID controllers
• Server rack and data center cabling where MiniSAS‑HD interfaces are used
• NAS and enterprise storage systems requiring 12 Gbit/s SAS links
• Temporary or semi-permanent external connections between servers and JBOD/expansion units

Key specifications

• Connector type: external MiniSAS‑HD
• Data rate: up to 12 Gbit/s per link
• Cable length: 2 meters
• Intended use: external data connection for SAS storage systems
• Compatibility: devices with MiniSAS‑HD external ports (host adapters, RAID controllers, enclosures)

How to use

Align the MiniSAS‑HD connectors with the corresponding external ports on the host adapter and the storage enclosure, then insert gently until the connector seats securely. Ensure cable routing avoids sharp bends and excessive tension; secure the cable within the rack or chassis using existing cable management points to prevent strain on the connectors. Power down or follow hot‑swap procedures recommended by your hardware vendor when connecting or disconnecting the cable in live systems.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this cable for short to medium external runs (such as between adjacent rack units) and avoid tightly coiling the cable. Verify device compatibility with external MiniSAS‑HD interfaces and follow your server or storage vendor’s installation and hot‑swap guidelines when making live connections.
