Cavo CBO MiniSAS 0,5 m — Amphenol 10117949-2005LF

The CBO MiniSAS cable 0.5 m — Amphenol 10117949-2005LF by BlueOptics is a half-meter MiniSAS interconnect designed to provide a compact, reliable physical connection for SAS-enabled storage devices and servers. Its short length helps reduce cable clutter inside racks and chassis while maintaining a robust link for high-performance serial attached SCSI environments. The cable is suitable for installations where a standard MiniSAS interface is required and space is limited.

Advantages

This 0.5 m MiniSAS cable offers a concise physical footprint that simplifies internal and external cable routing in storage arrays and server systems. The cable’s short length minimizes signal attenuation risks and can improve airflow within chassis by avoiding excess cable loops. Manufactured to Amphenol design standards and supplied by BlueOptics, it supports straightforward integration with hardware that uses the MiniSAS connector geometry and provides a durable, low-profile connection.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between SAS host adapters and storage enclosures
• Internal interconnects inside server chassis or storage arrays
• Rack-mounted systems where cable management and airflow are priorities

Key specifications

• Cable type: MiniSAS (compatible with standard MiniSAS connector form factor)
• Length: 0.5 meter
• Use case: Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interconnect for storage and server equipment
• Construction: Designed for short-reach, high-density rack and chassis environments
• Connector arrangement: High-density multi-lane MiniSAS interface

How to use

Connect one end of the MiniSAS cable to the SAS host adapter or controller port and the other end to the corresponding port on the storage device or enclosure, ensuring the connector orientation matches the port. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of hot components and fans. Secure any excess gently within the chassis using existing cable guides or ties to prevent strain on the connectors. Test the link at system boot or through the operating system’s storage management tools to confirm the devices are detected and operating correctly.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable for short internal or external connections where a 0.5 m length minimizes slack and supports tidy cable management. Avoid repeated excessive bending near connector ends and ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain reliable SAS communication.
