Cocotte rotonda in ghisa Staub La Cocotte Buster & Punch 24 cm, nera

The Staub La Cocotte Buster & Punch 24 cm is a round cast iron cocotte in black designed for slow cooking, braising, roasting and baking. Its heavy cast iron body provides excellent heat retention and even distribution, while the enameled interior simplifies cleaning and prevents reactive contact with food. The product is suitable for use on the stovetop and in the oven, offering robust construction for frequent home or professional kitchen use.

Advantages

The cast iron construction assures long-lasting thermal stability and uniform cooking results, reducing hot spots. The enameled interior is non-reactive and easy to clean, requiring less intensive maintenance than bare cast iron. The tight-fitting lid helps retain moisture and flavors during slow-cooking processes. Its 24 cm diameter provides a versatile capacity for stews, roasts and casseroles while the black exterior is resistant to high temperatures and everyday wear.

Suitable for

• Slow-cooked stews and braises
• Roasting meats and vegetables in the oven
• Baking casseroles and one-pot dishes
• Maintaining even heat for simmering sauces
• Professional kitchens and home cooks seeking durable cookware

Key specifications

• Material: cast iron with enamel interior and exterior
• Shape: round
• Diameter: 24 cm
• Suitable heat sources: gas, electric, ceramic, halogen and oven use
• Finish: black enamel
• Function: designed for slow cooking, braising, roasting and baking

How to use

Preheat the cocotte gradually on low to medium heat to avoid thermal shock. Use appropriate utensils to avoid scratching the enamel. For stovetop use, begin with low heat and increase as needed; for oven recipes, preheat the oven to the recipe temperature and transfer the cocotte directly into the oven. After cooking, allow the cocotte to cool before cleaning. Hand washing with warm water and a soft sponge is recommended to maintain the enamel finish; stubborn residues can be softened by soaking.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cocotte for recipes that benefit from slow, even heat such as braises, stews and pot roasts. Avoid exposing the cookware to sudden temperature changes (for example placing a hot cocotte under cold water). Use wooden, silicone or heat-resistant nylon utensils to protect the enamel surface and extend the service life of the product.
