Connettore coassiale BNC ShiverPeaks BS98800-1

The ShiverPeaks BS98800-1 is a BNC coaxial connector designed for reliable signal transmission with RG58 U cables. It provides a standardized bayonet coupling and metal construction that supports stable electrical contact and consistent impedance. This connector is suitable for use where dependable RF, video or data links are required and where an industry-standard BNC interface is needed.

Advantages

The connector offers a secure bayonet locking mechanism that prevents accidental disconnection while maintaining quick connect/disconnect capability. Its metal body and precisely machined contacts contribute to low signal loss and good durability under repeated use. Compatibility with RG 58 U cable ensures predictable impedance matching and consistent performance in typical telecommunications and broadcast setups.

Suitable for

• RF and video signal connections
• Laboratory test equipment and oscilloscopes
• Broadcast and CCTV installations
• Data links and low-power antenna feeds

Key specifications

• Connector type: BNC (bayonet coupling)
• Cable compatibility: RG 58 U
• Material: metal body with precision center contact
• Impedance: suitable for 50–75 Ω systems when used with matching cable
• Usage: designed for RF, video and low-power signal transmission

How to use

Strip the RG 58 U cable according to the connector manufacturer's recommended dimensions, insert the prepared cable into the connector housing and secure the center conductor and shield as specified for the connector style. Engage the BNC by inserting the male bayonet into the female socket and turning until the connector locks; ensure a firm seating to maintain proper contact and impedance. Inspect the assembled connection visually and, if required, verify continuity and signal integrity with appropriate test equipment.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the connector with RG 58 U cable of known condition and maintain clean contact surfaces. Avoid excessive bending or strain at the cable-connector junction and periodically check for corrosion or mechanical wear in high-use installations.
