Connettore femmina stereo ShiverPeaks 50250 jack aperto 6,3 mm, case in metallo

ShiverPeaks 50250 is a 6.3 mm (1/4") open stereo jack socket with a metal housing designed for audio signal connections. The connector is intended for panel or cable mounting and provides exposed soldering or wiring points for straightforward installation. Its robust metal construction and open jack format make it suitable for studio, rehearsal and live audio environments where reliable left-right stereo contact is required.

Advantages

The metal housing offers mechanical durability and improved shielding against mechanical stress. The open jack design allows clear access to solder lugs and wiring points, simplifying custom installations and repairs. Its standard 6.3 mm stereo format ensures compatibility with a wide range of instruments, headphones and audio equipment, while the solid contacts provide stable signal transfer and reduced intermittent connections.

Suitable for

• Instrument and microphone patch panels
• Headphone outputs and monitoring systems
• Guitar pedals, amplifiers and effects units
• Mixing desks, audio interfaces and studio equipment
• Custom cable assemblies and repair work

Key specifications

• Connector type: stereo 6.3 mm (1/4") open jack
• Mounting: panel or cable mount with exposed solder/wire terminals
• Housing material: metal for mechanical robustness and shielding
• Contact layout: stereo tip, ring and sleeve contacts for left/right/ground signals
• Usage environment: studio, live sound, rehearsal and general audio electronics

How to use

Prepare the cable ends and tin the conductors before soldering to the exposed terminals of the open jack. Secure the connector in the panel or cable clamp according to the device design, then solder tip, ring and sleeve contacts following the channel assignment of the audio circuit. After soldering, check mechanical fastening and perform an audio continuity test to verify left and right signal paths and ground continuity.

Recommendations

Use appropriate strain relief and shielding practices when mounting the socket to prevent cable movement and noise. For reliable long-term performance, avoid excessive bending at the solder points and perform scheduled inspections in high-use applications.
