Connettore in fibra ottica InLine simplex ST/ST multimodale boccola in metallo 89990B

The InLine Fiber Optical connector Simplex ST/ST multimode metal sleeve 89990B is a fiber coupling designed for multimode fibre optic connections. It features an ST female on one end and an ST male on the other, with a metal sleeve for enhanced durability and alignment. The connector is silver in colour and intended for networking and data-transmission applications where a simplex ST–ST join is required.

Advantages

The metal sleeve provides stable ferrule alignment and improved mechanical strength compared with plastic sleeves. The ST male–female configuration enables straightforward mating with standard ST connectors. Its multimode compatibility makes it suitable for short- to medium-range data links in local networks.

Suitable for

• Multimode fibre optic patching and extensions
• Local area network (LAN) installations
• Repair or adaptation of ST-terminated fibres
• Laboratory and test bench fibre connections

How to use

Ensure both fibre ends are clean and free of dust or debris before connecting. Insert the ST male connector into the ST female until the bayonet locks into place; verify optical alignment and secure the cable strain relief as required. For disconnection, depress the bayonet collar and rotate to release. Follow standard fibre handling and safety procedures to avoid contamination or damage.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating and avoid excessive bending of the fibre near the connector. Store unused connectors in protective caps to prevent contamination of the ferrule.
