Connettore splice-on in fibra ottica EasySplicer LCM102003 LC SOC

EasySplicer LCM102003 LC SOC is a splice-on connector designed for LC fibre terminations that integrates directly with fusion splicing workflows. The connector creates a compact LC interface on a prepared single-mode or multimode fibre end without the need for traditional polishing steps. It is intended for field installations and patch-panel terminations where a permanent, low-loss LC connection is required and where speed and repeatability of connectorization are priorities.

Advantages

The splice-on connector reduces installation time by eliminating polishing and adhesive curing processes, enabling faster permanent terminations when used with fusion splicing equipment. Its compact LC form factor preserves standard connector density in panels and enclosures. The design supports reliable optical alignment and stable mechanical performance, lowering the chance of rework and minimizing insertion loss when correctly spliced. The connector also simplifies inventory and on-site logistics by offering a ready-to-splice solution for LC terminations.

Suitable for

• Field fiber terminations where permanent LC connections are required
• Patch panel and rack-mounted installations with LC ports
• Outside plant repair and fast restoration tasks using fusion splicing
• Environments that demand compact connector density and reliable alignment

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC splice-on connector with standard LC ferrule interface
• Compatibility: intended for use with fusion splicing equipment and prepared fibre ends
• Fibre types supported: single-mode and multimode fibre (dependent on splicing parameters)
• Termination method: splice-on (fusion splice) — no polishing required
• Typical use: permanent field or panel terminations with compact LC footprint

How to use

Prepare the fibre according to fusion splicer and connector instructions: strip the coating, cleave the fibre to a suitable length, and clean the bare fibre. Insert the prepared fibre into the splice-on connector body and align it in the fusion splicer following the splicer manufacturer’s procedure. Perform the fusion splice to join the fibre to the connector’s internal pigtail or alignment sleeve, then inspect the splice and connector end-face for acceptable loss and geometry. Once the splice is verified, secure the connector within its protective housing or boot and install the LC connector into the patch panel or equipment port.

Recommendations

Use the connector with compatible fusion splicer models and follow all fibre handling and safety guidelines. Verify splicing parameters for the specific fibre type and perform optical loss testing after termination. Store connectors in a clean, dry environment prior to use and handle end-faces with lint-free wipes and appropriate cleaning solution to maintain low insertion loss and long-term reliability.
