Connettore video BNC ShiverPeaks 98800-2 per cavo coassiale RG58/U, connessione a morsetto

The BNC Video Connector ShiverPeaks 98800-2 for RG58/U coaxial cable is a clamp (crimp) termination connector that provides a standard BNC male interface for analog video and RF signal transmission. Designed for use with RG58/U coax, this connector ensures a stable mechanical fit and reliable electrical contact suitable for CCTV installations, broadcast test setups and general video or RF cabling tasks where a compact BNC connection is required.

Advantages

This clamp-style BNC connector offers a secure mechanical connection and consistent impedance matching for RG58/U cable, reducing signal reflections and maintaining video quality. The design facilitates straightforward assembly without the need for soldering, and the clamp termination provides repeatable performance for field installations and laboratory use. The connector's compact BNC form factor ensures compatibility with standard BNC sockets used in video and RF equipment.

Suitable for

• CCTV camera installations and security video cabling
• Broadcast and test equipment connections
• Laboratory and measurement setups requiring BNC interfaces
• General RF and analog video cabling with RG58/U cable

Key specifications

• Connector type: Male BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman)
• Cable compatibility: RG58/U coaxial cable
• Termination style: Clamp (crimp) assembly
• Intended applications: Analog video and RF signal transmission
• Mechanical coupling: Bayonet locking for secure mating

How to use

Prepare the RG58/U cable by stripping the outer jacket, braid and dielectric to the appropriate lengths for the clamp connector. Insert the cable into the connector body so that the centre conductor seats in the pin and the braid is captured by the clamp mechanism. Secure the clamp using the specified crimping tool or assembly method recommended for clamp-type terminations. After assembly, test connectivity and signal integrity using appropriate video or RF test equipment to confirm a proper connection.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, use the correct stripping dimensions and crimping tool specified for clamp-style BNC connectors and verify connection with a cable tester. Avoid excessive bending near the connector and ensure the braid is fully captured to prevent intermittent contacts and signal degradation.
