Corda da arrampicata Edelrid SE Jura 8a 9,8 mm 80 m

Sport climbers and gym rats chasing redpoints on steep limestone pockets and resin holds will appreciate the Edelrid SE Jura 8a. Why choose it

The SE Jura 8a is a workhorse for high-end sport climbing. Its 9.8 mm diameter provides a confident grip for clipping and lowering, while the 62 g/m weight keeps the rope light on long approaches and reduces drag on wandering pitches. The Thermo Shield finish enhances abrasion resistance and keeps the rope round and kink-free, so it feeds smoothly through belay devices and quickdraws even after repeated falls. With a low impact force of 8.8 kN and 7 UIAA falls, it offers a reassuring safety margin for hard catches.

Ideal use cases

• Redpointing steep sport routes at the crag
• Indoor gym climbing and competitions
• Multi-pitch sport climbs where a single rope is preferred
• Climbers seeking a durable yet lightweight rope for frequent use

Good to know

The rope is certified to EN 892 and UIAA standards. Thermo Shield treatment ensures a stable, compact sheath that resists dirt and moisture, extending the rope's lifespan. The 80 m length is ideal for long pitches and allows for trimming worn ends over time.
