Custodia Axis 01630-001

AXIS F92A01 Height Strip Housing is designed to mount compatible sensor units near building exits. The housing positions the sensor unit at a height of 170 cm (metric version) or 5.5 ft (imperial version) measured from the ground, orienting the sensor straight at a person’s face to improve identification reliability even when a person wears a hood or baseball cap. The housing is available in black or silver and includes front cover pieces for either metric or imperial installations. This product corresponds to Axis housing model 01630-001 for Axis camera systems and provides a discreet protective enclosure for sensitive sensor equipment.

Advantages

The enclosure provides a fixed mounting height that optimizes facial-level detection and consistent sensor alignment. Available color options (black or silver) allow discreet installation that matches building aesthetics. Metric and imperial front cover variants ensure accurate placement in different regions. The housing is compatible with Axis sensor units, enabling seamless integration with existing Axis access-control and surveillance setups.

Suitable for

• Mounting access-control or identification sensors at building exits
• Integrating Axis sensor units into surveillance and entry systems
• Installations requiring a fixed, face-level sensor height for more reliable identification

Key specifications

• Model: AXIS F92A01 (Housing Axis 01630-001 compatible)
• Mounting height: 170 cm (metric) / 5.5 ft (imperial) from ground
• Colors: Black or Silver

How to use

Install the housing at the intended exit location and secure it to a stable surface following local mounting practices. Fit the sensor unit inside the housing and choose the front cover piece that matches your regional measurement system (metric or imperial) to set the correct 170 cm / 5.5 ft face-level position. Ensure the sensor is oriented to look straight ahead and verify alignment by testing identification performance with typical user positions and headwear.

Recommendations

For optimal results, select the front cover variant that matches local standards and perform on-site alignment and testing after installation. Use the black or silver finish to match surroundings and avoid placing the housing where strong glare or obstructions can block the sensor view.
