Deuter Traick 9 9 L nero

Children who hike need gear that moves with them, and the Deuter Traick 9 delivers exactly that. Unlike adult packs scaled down, this 9-litre rucksack is built around a child's anatomy, with a shorter back length and narrow shoulder straps that won't slip. The Contact back system keeps the load close and stable, while the simple drawstring closure and buckled lid make it easy for small hands to manage. Reflective details add visibility on grey days, and the PFC-free fabric means the pack is kinder to the environment.

Highlights

• 9-litre capacity: enough for a day's essentials without overwhelming a child.
• Deuter Contact back system: padded, breathable, and sized for young backs.
• Adjustable sternum strap and removable webbing hip belt: secure fit as they grow.
• Organised storage: two elastic side pockets, a front zip pocket, a lid pocket, and an internal valuables pocket.
• Reflective elements and gear loops for safety and versatility.
• Made from 600D PES polyester, PFC-free.

In daily use

On the trail or the way to school, the Traick 9 keeps things simple. The drawstring main compartment opens wide, so kids can find their snack or rain jacket without unpacking everything. The lid buckles down to secure the load, and the front zip pocket is perfect for a small treasure or a map. Elastic side pockets hold a water bottle or a found stick, while the internal valuables pocket keeps a key or a few coins safe. The sternum strap prevents the shoulder straps from sliding, and the removable hip belt adds stability on rougher paths. When the light fades, the reflective elements help drivers and other hikers spot the child.
