Diffusore a colonna Omnitronic PCS-230 diffusore a colonna impermeabile IP44

The Omnitronic PCS-230 IP44 weather-resistant column loudspeaker is a slim, directional speaker designed for indoor and sheltered outdoor installations. With IP44 protection against splashing water and a narrow vertical dispersion pattern, this column speaker delivers clear speech reinforcement and background music in corridors, halls, covered terraces and public-address applications. The unobtrusive form factor allows integration with existing PA systems and wall- or pole-mount installations where focused coverage and weather resistance are required.

Advantages

The column loudspeaker provides focused sound projection that minimizes reflections and improves speech intelligibility in elongated spaces. Its weather-resistant construction and IP44 rating make it suitable for environments with occasional splashing or moisture. The slim profile reduces visual impact while offering wide vertical coverage and controlled horizontal dispersion, simplifying system design for speech and background-music applications. Mounting options permit flexible placement for optimal coverage and ease of integration with standard public-address amplifiers.

How to use

Install the column speaker on a suitable vertical surface or pole at a height that enables direct coverage of the listening area. Connect to a compatible PA amplifier or mixer using the appropriate speaker wiring and set the amplifier’s output and any equalization to achieve clear, intelligible speech and balanced background music. Aim the speaker so its directional pattern covers the intended zone while avoiding excessive reflections from nearby hard surfaces. Verify the mounting is secure and protected from direct rain or standing water to maintain the IP44-rated performance.

Recommendations

For best results, place the speaker at ear-height or slightly above for speech applications and angle it to cover the intended listening area without pointing directly at reflective surfaces. Use appropriate equalization and level control on the connected PA equipment to prioritize speech intelligibility. Avoid mounting in locations with direct exposure to heavy rain or immersion, and ensure cable entries and connectors are protected from moisture.
