Disco fisso interno Toshiba MG11ACA20TE-V 20 TB 7200 giri/min 1024 MB 3,5 inch SATA III

The Toshiba S300 AI Surveillance Hard Drive (20 TB) is a 3.5" internal drive designed for professional surveillance and AI-driven video systems. It provides 20 TB of capacity, a 7200 RPM spindle speed and a 1024 MB cache with a Serial ATA III interface. Engineered for continuous 24/7 operation, this drive supports sustained throughput for large-scale recording, real-time AI analytics and long-term video retention in DVR, NVR and enterprise video management systems.

Advantages

The drive combines high capacity and performance to handle multiple camera feeds while maintaining frame-perfect recording and low latency for AI analysis. Its firmware is optimized for AI workloads and it is helium-sealed at high densities to reduce power consumption. Built with enterprise-grade components, it offers high endurance ratings and comes with an extended five-year warranty for long-term reliability.

Suitable for

• Large-scale surveillance deployments (DVR/NVR systems)
• AI video analytics servers and storage appliances
• Centralized surveillance data storage and archiving
• Multi-bay RAID arrays for continuous recording
• Backup and long-term video retention solutions

When it may not be suitable

This drive is intended for professional surveillance and enterprise storage; it may be excessive for simple desktop use or small home NAS where lower capacity or lower RPM drives would be more cost-effective. It is not optimized for workloads that require SSD-level random read/write performance, such as heavy client-side databases or OS hosting where low latency is critical.

Key specifications

• Form factor: 3.5 inch
• Capacity: 20 TB
• Rotational speed: 7200 RPM
• Cache (buffer) size: 1024 MB
• Interface: Serial ATA III (6 Gbit/s)
• Optimized for: continuous 24/7 surveillance and AI analytics
• Designed endurance: rated for heavy surveillance workloads (annual TB write rating)
• Helium-sealed design for high density and reduced power consumption
• Typical weight: approximately 730 g

How to use

Install the drive into a compatible 3.5" bay in a DVR, NVR, server or NAS that supports SATA III connectivity. Configure the drive within your video management or RAID software according to manufacturer guidelines, initialize and format as required, and assign it to recording pools or storage volumes. For AI-enabled systems, ensure firmware and analytics servers are configured to recognize and utilize the drive for sustained write throughput. Monitor drive health using system diagnostics and follow recommended maintenance schedules.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your recorder or server supports 3.5" SATA III drives and 20 TB capacity
• Assess whether 7200 RPM and large-capacity HDDs meet your performance and budget needs versus SSDs
• Ensure adequate cooling and power delivery for continuous 24/7 operation
• Plan RAID or backup strategy to meet redundancy and retention requirements

Recommendations

The Toshiba S300 AI 20 TB is recommended for mission-critical surveillance and AI-analytics storage: use it in multi-bay RAID configurations or dedicated archive servers, keep firmware updated, and provide proper cooling to maintain long-term performance and reliability.
