Disco rigido esterno Silicon Power 5 TB USB 3.2 Armor A85B

The Silicon Power Armor A85B is a 5TB external hard drive in a compact 2.5" form factor designed for reliable portable storage. Its triple-layer construction combines an internal suspension system, seamless rubber covering and an aluminum casing to provide resistance to pressure and shocks, while the IP68-rated sealing offers protection against dust and temporary water immersion. The drive includes a built-in cable-carry band and uses a SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface for faster file transfer and editing.

Advantages

The Armor A85B offers military-grade shock resistance with a construction rated to withstand pressures up to 500 kg and drops from up to 3 m, along with IP68 protection against dust and water immersion up to 1 m. Its integrated cable-carry band prevents loss of the connection cable, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity provides higher read/write throughput compared with USB 2.0, reducing transfer and editing time for large files.

Suitable for

• Backing up large photo and video libraries
• Transporting media and project files between work sites
• Outdoor and field use where dust, shocks or brief immersion are possible
• General portable storage for documents, archives and media

How to use

Connect the included USB cable to the drive and to a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 1 port on your computer for optimal transfer speeds; the drive is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports. Use your operating system’s file manager to copy, move or edit files directly on the drive. Keep the cable secured in the built-in cable-carry band when transporting the drive to avoid misplacing it. Before exposing the drive to water or dusty environments, ensure the casing is intact and the external surfaces are clean.

Recommendations

For long-term data retention, maintain a separate backup copy of critical files. When using the drive outdoors, avoid prolonged submersion and dry the drive thoroughly if it becomes wet before reconnecting to a computer.
