With the MX-4 already pre-applied, the Alpine 17 can be mounted directly. Thanks to the push pins, installation is a breeze. Additional tools are not needed to mount the cooler.

Thanks to an alloy/lubricant combination developed in Germany, friction inside the bearing is reduced and higher efficiency is achieved. In this way, less heat develops, there is less bearing noise and the fan life is extended.

Improved cooling performance through innovative heat sink design

The extra fine cooling fins of the new Alpine are fanned out in a Y-shape. The high thermal conductivity of the aluminum is fully retained in the type of extrusion used. This novel production process makes it possible to produce a high-performance yet very compact radial heat sink. This results in an increase in the surface area of the heat sink, optimization of the airflow and thus an increase in cooling performance.

How to use

Install the ARCTIC Alpine 17 Compact on a compatible Intel LGA 1700 motherboard following the manufacturer’s mounting instructions. Apply an appropriate thermal interface material between the CPU heat spreader and the cooler base if not pre-applied. Secure the cooler in place, connect the fan cable to the CPU fan header, and verify fan operation and BIOS fan settings after the first boot.

Recommendations

Use the Alpine 17 Compact in systems up to the stated 95 W TDP for best results. Ensure adequate case airflow and periodic cleaning of dust from the fan and heatsink fins to maintain thermal performance and low noise levels.
