Equip Cavo ottico attivo HDMI 2.0, 15 m, 4K/60Hz

The Equip 11943x series Active Optical Cable (AOC) converts standard HDMI electrical inputs into optical transmission between connectors, combining optical fibre for high-speed TMDS signals and copper wires for low-frequency control signals. This hybrid design allows HDMI signal extension up to 100 m without loss or added latency and without an external power supply. The Equip HDMI 2.0 Active Optical Cable in this listing is 15 m long and supports 4K at 60 Hz with HDMI Type A male connectors and gold-plated contacts for consistent signal quality.

Advantages

The cable maintains full HDMI 2.0 feature support — including 4K/60Hz, HDR, 3D, HDCP 2.2 and an 18 Gbps bandwidth — while enabling long-distance runs. Its hybrid construction provides reliable transmission of high-speed video over optical fibre and preserves control channels via copper conductors. Zinc alloy housing and gold-plated connectors improve mechanical durability and contact quality. The active design removes the need for repeaters or external power for distances up to 100 m.

Suitable for

• Connecting a media player, PC or set-top box to a distant display or projector
• Long-run AV installations in auditoriums, conference rooms or classrooms
• Home theatre setups requiring 4K/60Hz signal over extended distance
• Digital signage and commercial displays where cable length exceeds copper HDMI limits

Key specifications

• Length: 15 m
• HDMI version: 2.0
• Maximum resolution: 4K (3840×2160) at 60 Hz
• Bandwidth: up to 18 Gbps
• Supports: HDR, 3D, HDCP 2.2, HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC)
• Connector type: HDMI Type A (Standard) straight male to straight male
• Housing: zinc alloy
• Contact plating: gold-plated connectors
• Colour: Black
• Transmission: single-direction (source → display)

How to use

Connect the cable’s source-end HDMI Type A male plug to the output of your source device (PC, Blu-ray player, media streamer). Plug the display-end HDMI Type A male into the input of your TV, monitor or projector. Ensure the cable is oriented correctly because this active optical cable transmits in one direction only (from source to display). Power on both devices and set the display to the correct HDMI input; the devices will negotiate resolution and HDR settings automatically according to HDMI 2.0 capabilities.

Recommendations

Use this cable for one-way source-to-display connections only; check cable direction marking before installation. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and maintain gentle routing to preserve the optical fibres. For installations approaching the maximum supported length, verify source and display HDMI settings and test the signal at full resolution (4K/60Hz) to confirm compatibility.
