Filtro spugna di ricambio per Petoneer PN-120001-01 – confezione da 3 per acquari/pompe dell'acqua

Replacement Sponge Filters for Petoneer PN-120001-01 — Pack of 3 are designed as direct-fit sponge elements for compatible aquarium and small water pumps. Each soft foam cartridge provides mechanical filtration by trapping suspended debris, uneaten food and particulate waste to help maintain water clarity and reduce the frequency of pump cleaning. The pack of three allows routine rotation during maintenance to keep filtration effective without interrupting circulation.

Advantages

These replacement sponge filters are made from open-cell foam that balances flow-through with particle retention, enabling efficient mechanical filtration while minimising pressure drop. Their uniform shape and size ensure easy installation and secure seating in compatible filter housings. The foam material is washable and reusable for multiple maintenance cycles, supporting economical upkeep of aquarium pumps and reducing the need for frequent full replacements.

Suitable for

• Routine replacement of sponge elements in compatible aquarium and small water pumps
• Mechanical filtration in freshwater and planted aquariums
• Temporary filtration when cleaning or servicing primary filter units
• Maintenance spare parts for home or office aquaria

Key specifications

• Contents: pack of 3 sponge filter elements
• Material: open-cell polyurethane foam for mechanical filtration
• Function: traps suspended solids and particulate waste
• Compatibility: designed for use with compatible aquarium and small water pumps
• Maintenance: washable and reusable for multiple cycles

How to use

Turn off and, if applicable, disconnect the pump before removing the existing sponge element. Remove the old sponge from the filter housing and inspect the housing and impeller for debris. Rinse the new sponge briefly with dechlorinated water to remove any loose particles, then seat it securely in the filter housing following the pump manufacturer’s orientation. Reassemble the pump and restore power, checking for normal flow and the absence of leaks. Replace or clean sponges regularly according to tank load and manufacturer maintenance intervals.

Recommendations

For best results, rinse sponges in aquarium water during routine water changes rather than under tap water to preserve beneficial bacteria. Rotate the pack so one sponge can be cleaned while others continue filtration. Inspect sponges periodically and replace when foam shows irreversible degradation or persistent clogging.
