Fjällräven Barents Pro pantaloni uomo verde oliva scuro taglia 48 (M)

The Barents Pro trousers stand apart from ordinary outdoor pants through their uncompromising focus on durability and adaptability in demanding terrain. Built from Fjällräven's proven G-1000 Original fabric—a dense 65% polyester, 35% cotton blend—they offer a unique balance of breathability, wind resistance, and long-term toughness. Unlike lighter hiking trousers, the Barents Pro features double-layer fabric over the rear and knees, making them ideal for bushcraft, trekking, and rugged everyday use where abrasion is constant. The regular fit and mid waist provide freedom of movement without excess bulk, while pre-shaped knees and dedicated pockets for knee pads (sold separately) allow you to customize protection for kneeling work or rocky ground. With seven thoughtfully placed pockets, including a dedicated axe pocket and internal mesh organizers, these trousers keep essential gear secure and accessible. The dark olive colourway is both practical and timeless, hiding dirt while blending into forest environments. The raw length hem means you can tailor the trousers to your exact inseam, ensuring a perfect fit for any boot or shoe. As part of Fjällräven's waxable G-1000 system, the fabric can be treated with Greenland Wax to enhance water and wind resistance, adapting to seasonal conditions without sacrificing breathability. Fluorocarbon-free impregnation reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising performance.

In daily use

On the trail or at the campsite, the Barents Pro excels when the going gets rough. The dense G-1000 weave resists snags from branches and rocks, while the reinforced knees allow you to kneel without hesitation. The pre-shaped cut follows your leg's natural bend, reducing fatigue during long ascents. When the wind picks up or light rain falls, a layer of Greenland Wax applied to the fabric beads water and blocks gusts, yet the material still breathes during high-output activity. The multiple pockets keep a map, knife, or phone organized, and the axe pocket on the leg is a nod to traditional bushcraft users. For everyday wear, the dark olive colour is subdued enough for town errands but rugged enough for the workshop. Because the legs are left unhemmed, you can have them shortened to your exact length, avoiding the awkward bunching common with off-the-rack outdoor pants. Care is straightforward: machine wash at 40°C, avoid tumble drying, and re-wax as needed to maintain performance.
