How to use

Pull the blade out by the end hook to the required length and position the hook against the measurement point. For outside measurements, hook the blade onto the edge of the object; for inside measurements, press the hook against the inside face and read the graduation at the hook base. Hold the housing steady to maintain an accurate reading and use the retract mechanism to rewind the blade smoothly back into the case when finished.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a dry place to avoid corrosion of the steel blade, avoid dropping the housing from heights that may damage the mechanism, and clean debris from the blade before retracting to preserve the markings and retract action.
