Forbici c.k tools T4505 160 mm – forbici da taglio in fibra di vetro, lunghezza lama 160 mm

Scissors c.k tools T4505 160 mm are precision hand tools designed for cutting fiber optic cables, buffer tubes, jackets and related materials. With a 160 mm overall blade length, these scissors offer a compact form factor that supports controlled, accurate cuts for technicians and installers working on splicing, connector termination, and patch cord preparation. The tool is engineered to reduce fraying and minimize mechanical damage, helping to preserve fiber integrity and support consistent joint quality.

Advantages

These scissors combine a compact 160 mm blade length with a sharp profile suited to fiber-related materials, delivering precise cutting action in confined workspaces. The blade geometry and edge finish are optimized to produce clean ends on jackets and buffer layers, reducing the need for additional trimming. The lightweight construction aids in repetitive tasks and field work, while the ergonomic handle shape supports controlled handling during delicate operations.

How to use

Position the scissors so that the material to be cut lies fully between the blades, taking care to support the fiber or jacket close to the cut to prevent bending or pulling. Use short, controlled cutting motions to produce a clean end; avoid twisting the tool while cutting. For small-diameter fibers or buffer strips, make the cut at a right angle to the fiber axis to ensure a flat end-face suitable for splicing or connector termination. After cutting, inspect the cut end visually or with appropriate inspection tools to confirm that no frayed material remains.

Recommendations

Maintain blade sharpness by avoiding cutting abrasive materials and by storing the scissors dry and protected. Clean blades after use with suitable cleaning agents for polymer residues, and inspect handles and pivot for wear before critical tasks. Replace the tool if blades become nicked or do not produce a clean cut to avoid compromising fiber joint quality.
