The Canon EOS R50 White is a compact MILC camera with a 24.2MP CMOS sensor designed for versatile photo and video capture. It records still images at up to 6000 x 4000 resolution and supports 4K Ultra HD video, combining lightweight handling with a fast shutter speed of 1/8000s. The camera includes an electronic viewfinder and a touchscreen for intuitive control, and the bundled 18–45mm focal length range covers common wide-angle to short-telephoto shooting scenarios. With ISO sensitivity extendable up to 32000, the EOS R50 balances image detail and low-light performance in a small, white body weighing approximately 0.328 kg.

Advantages

The Canon EOS R50 White offers a high-resolution 24.2MP sensor in a lightweight mirrorless body, enabling sharp images and flexible framing. 4K Ultra HD video capability allows for detailed motion capture while the fast 1/8000s shutter supports freezing rapid action. An electronic viewfinder and responsive touchscreen improve composition and menu navigation. The included 18–45mm focal range provides practical versatility for everyday shooting, and the compact form factor supports comfortable handheld use for extended periods.

Suitable for

Travel and street photography
Family and event photography
Vlogging and casual video production in 4K
Beginner to enthusiast photographers upgrading from compact cameras or smartphones

How to use

Power on the Canon EOS R50 White, attach or confirm the kit lens is secure, and set the shooting mode appropriate for your subject. Use the touchscreen or electronic viewfinder to compose the frame, adjust exposure settings such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO as required, and half-press the shutter button to lock focus before taking a photo. For video, select a 4K recording mode and verify framing and audio levels before recording. Transfer images and video via the camera’s connectivity options or remove the memory card for file access on a computer.

Recommendations

For best results, shoot RAW when precise post-processing is needed and use ISO values close to the base sensitivity for maximum image quality. When recording 4K video, monitor temperature and recording times to avoid overheating during extended takes. Use the touchscreen for quick focus point selection and the electronic viewfinder in bright outdoor conditions to maintain clear composition.
