Garmont 9.81 Onyx GTX Scarpe da avvicinamento uomo - Agate Grey/Firecracker Orange - EU 43

Scrambling up a scree-covered slope or moving fast over rocky ridgelines, the Garmont 9.81 Onyx GTX keeps your feet protected, dry, and sure-footed. Built for technical approaches and light hiking, this men's shoe pairs a 1.6mm suede leather and mesh upper with a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining, so water stays out while heat escapes. Underfoot, a Michelin® Off Road outsole bites into stone and dirt, and the dual-density EVA midsole cushions every step. The Ortholite® UltraLite™ footbed adds long-lasting comfort, while Garmont’s A.D.D. fit system wraps the foot securely. A rubber toe cap and Heel Lock technology add protection and stability on steep ground.

Why choose it

This shoe is engineered for technical approaches and light scrambling, where precision and grip are non-negotiable. The GORE-TEX® lining ensures dry feet in wet conditions without sacrificing breathability, while the Michelin® outsole provides confidence on loose rock and steep slabs. The combination of a protective toe cap, secure heel lock, and adaptive fit system makes it a reliable partner for demanding mountain days.

Ideal use cases

• Technical approach routes and via ferrata
• Fastpacking over mixed terrain
• Summer alpine hiking and scrambling
• Everyday trail use in wet or variable weather

Good to know

Garmont sizes run true to size for most users, but if you plan to wear thick mountaineering socks, consider sizing up half a size. The suede and mesh upper benefits from regular cleaning and waterproofing treatment to maintain performance. The Michelin® outsole is designed for durability on rock, but like all approach shoes, it will wear faster on pavement.
