Guaina intrecciata per isolamento cavi DeLOCK 18898

The DeLOCK 18898 braided sleeving is a fire-proof insulation sleeve for cables, wires and electrical conduits. Made from rubber and silicone and supplied in red, this 5 m long sleeving protects against high temperatures while providing abrasion and wear resistance. It fits cables with diameters from 1.0 cm up to 1.4 cm and is intended to bundle and shield exposed wiring from dirt and mechanical damage.

Advantages

The sleeving resists high temperatures and offers good insulation properties due to its rubber and silicone construction. Its braided design provides flexibility for routing and easy bundling of multiple conductors, while the abrasion-resistant surface increases durability and reduces wear on cable sheaths. The 5 m length and specified diameter range make it suitable for short runs or multiple smaller bundles.

Suitable for

• Cable insulation and protection of individual wires
• Bundling exposed cables and electrical tubes
• Protection of wiring in high-temperature environments
• Applications requiring abrasion-resistant sleeving

Key specifications

• Brand: DELOCK
• Model / MPN: 18898
• EAN: 4043619188987
• Material: Rubber, Silicone
• Product colour: Red
• Length: 5 m
• Inner diameter range: 1.0 cm – 1.4 cm
• Type: Braided fire-proof sleeving

How to use

Measure the cable bundle and cut the sleeving to the required length. Slide the sleeving over the cables or wires to cover exposed sections; for tight fits, slightly expand the braided sleeve and insert the cables. Secure the ends with heat-shrink tubing, cable ties or suitable clamps to prevent fraying and to keep the sleeving in place. Avoid sharp bends that could compress the sleeving excessively.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the sleeving within the specified diameter range and ensure proper end termination to maintain fire-proof and insulation properties. Inspect periodically for wear in environments with mechanical abrasion or extreme heat and replace if damage is detected.
