Guaina protettiva per cavi autochiudente doppio strato DELOCK 5 m × 16 mm, nero

The DELOCK cable protection sleeve self-closing double-layer 5 m × 16 mm in black is a flexible sleeving solution designed to bundle and protect wires, cables and small tubing from abrasion, kinking and light mechanical damage. Its self-closing design allows existing cables to be inserted without disconnection, while the double-layer construction increases stability and wear resistance for home, office, AV installations and light industrial environments.

Advantages

The double-layer construction combines a durable outer layer with an integrated wear indicator layer to provide enhanced protection and early visual warning of excessive abrasion. The sleeve is reusable, flexible for easy routing and installation, and tolerates a wide temperature range for varied environments. Its self-closing profile makes retrofitting simple and eliminates the need for tools when adding or removing cables.

Suitable for

• Bundling and protecting power and data cables behind desks, AV racks and entertainment systems
• Routing cables in home offices and small commercial installations
• Protecting exposed wiring in light industrial or workshop settings where abrasion or bending may occur
• Neatening cable runs in server cabinets, AV closets and media centers

When it may not be suitable

This sleeve is intended for protection against abrasion, kinking and light mechanical impact; it is not rated as a substitute for heavy-duty conduit or rigid protective tubing where severe mechanical loads or impact resistance are required. It is also not intended as insulation for high-voltage live parts or as a replacement for dedicated fireproof conduit systems beyond the specified flammability classification.

Key specifications

• Length: 5 m
• Nominal internal diameter: 16 mm
• Color: black with contrasting wear indicator layer
• Construction: double-layer braided sleeve, self-closing
• Material: polyester monofilament and multifilament
• Temperature range: -40 °C to 150 °C
• Flammability classification: meets UL 94 requirements
• Reusable and flexible for retrofitting

How to use

Measure and cut the required length of sleeve, allowing extra for routing and bends. To install on existing cable bundles, press the self-closing braid open and insert cables along the sleeve length; the braid will close around the cables automatically. For new installations, insert cables before routing and cut to size afterwards. Use cable ties or adhesive-backed mounts where needed to secure the sleeve at intervals and prevent movement. When the orange wear-indicator layer becomes visible, inspect the sleeve and underlying cables and replace the sleeve if necessary.

What to consider before purchase

• Check internal diameter (16 mm) against the combined diameter of cables to ensure fit and allow for flexibility
• Consider the 5 m length and whether multiple pieces are needed for longer runs
• Confirm the temperature range is suitable for your installation environment
• Decide if a self-closing braided sleeve is appropriate versus rigid conduit for mechanical protection needs

Recommendations

For best results, route the sleeve with gentle bends rather than sharp angles, secure it at regular intervals to avoid strain on cables, and monitor the wear indicator layer periodically. Replace the sleeve when the warning layer becomes visible to maintain protection.
