The InLine Dust Cover for RJ45 female InLine 59942K is a protective accessory designed to shield RJ45 ports from dust, fumes and dirt to help extend the service life of networking equipment. Supplied in a pack of 100, the red dust covers fit RJ45 female connectors and are intended for use in environments where unused network ports may allow contaminants to enter devices such as TVs, monitors, A/V systems and digital signage displays in public areas.

Advantages

These dust covers prevent accumulation of dust and debris inside RJ45 ports, reducing the risk of short circuits or malfunctions caused by contaminated internal contacts. Their bright red colour makes ports easily identifiable while providing a simple and low-cost method of protecting multiple connectors in both residential and professional installations.

How to use

Insert a dust cover into each unused RJ45 female port until it seats firmly to block pores where dust and fumes could enter. Ensure the cover is fully engaged and check periodically during maintenance rounds. Remove covers before connecting a cable and replace them when ports are no longer in use.

Recommendations

Store the dust covers in a dry place away from extreme heat or direct sunlight. For best results in public or high-traffic locations, label protected ports or use colour-coding consistently across equipment to simplify identification and maintenance.
