Intellinet switch Gigabit Ethernet 5 porte formato desktop, plastica, IEEE 802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet), nero

The Intellinet 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (model 561747) is a compact desktop switch that expands a wired network with five RJ-45 Gigabit ports. It supports 10/100/1000 Mbps connections, full duplex operation and complies with IEEE 802.3 family standards. The switch includes a 2000-entry MAC address table and offers a switching capacity of 10 Gbit/s for basic home office and small business networking needs.

Advantages

This Gigabit switch is plug-and-play with auto-negotiation for speed and duplex, making setup straightforward without additional configuration. Its small plastic desktop housing is easy to place in confined spaces. Energy-efficient IEEE 802.3az (Green Ethernet) features allow the unit to reduce power to unused ports, improving overall power usage. The switch works with any operating system and connects reliably to computers, printers, servers and other Ethernet devices.

Suitable for

• Expanding wired networks in home offices
• Small business desktop networking
• Connecting printers, NAS, IP cameras or additional switches
• Temporary network extensions for events or meetings

How to use

Place the switch on a stable, well-ventilated surface near your router or main network point. Connect power and use standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher recommended for Gigabit speeds) to attach computers, printers or other devices to any of the five RJ-45 ports. The device automatically negotiates link speed and duplex; no configuration is required for basic operation. For cascaded networks, connect an uplink port to another switch or router.

Recommendations

To ensure sustained Gigabit performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables and avoid long cable runs beyond recommended Ethernet limits. Position the switch away from heat sources and ensure adequate airflow. For environments requiring managed traffic control or VLANs, consider a managed switch instead.
