Interruttore di protezione antincendio (AFDD) Legrand 415922 con interruttore magnetotermico per protezione elettrica

Legrand 415922 is an Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) integrated with an LS (overcurrent) switch, designed to detect dangerous arc faults and interrupt the circuit to reduce fire and electrical hazard risks. The unit is intended for installation in standard switchgear and provides combined arc-fault detection and circuit protection for residential and commercial electrical installations.

Advantages

The AFDD with LS switch combines arc detection and overcurrent protection in a single module, saving space in the distribution board. It detects series and parallel arcing events and triggers reliable disconnection to limit ignition risk. Compatibility with standard DIN-rail switchgear and clear fault indication simplify installation and maintenance. The integrated solution reduces the number of devices required in a circuit and provides coordinated protection against both arcs and overloads/short circuits.

How to use

Install the Legrand 415922 in the distribution board on a standard DIN rail according to local wiring regulations and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Connect the line and load conductors to the appropriate terminals, ensure correct rating and coordination with upstream and downstream protective devices, and verify mechanical mounting and clearances. After wiring, perform functional tests and trip tests as described by Legrand to confirm correct arc-fault detection and switching operation.

Recommendations

Use the AFDD in circuits where reduced fire risk is desired; coordinate with a qualified electrician for proper selection, upstream discrimination, and periodic testing. Follow local electrical codes and Legrand's technical documentation for correct installation and maintenance.
