Irix Edge Filtro inquinamento luminoso SR 67mm

Astrophotographers and nightscape shooters often struggle with the orange glow of sodium vapor lamps and the green cast of mercury vapor lights that wash out the night sky. The Irix Edge Light Pollution Filter SR 67mm tackles this problem head-on, effectively blocking those artificial wavelengths while preserving a neutral color balance. Its slim, aircraft-grade aluminum frame houses high-quality optical glass with multi-layer anti-reflective and NANO coatings—hydrophobic, oleophobic, and scratch-resistant—for crisp, clean images even in challenging urban environments.

The slim frame minimizes vignetting on wide-angle lenses, a critical factor for capturing expansive night skies.

Ideal use cases

• Astrophotography: Enhance contrast in nebulae, galaxies, and star fields by blocking sodium and mercury vapor emissions.
• Nightscapes: Capture city skylines and landscapes with more natural colors and reduced orange/green cast.
• Urban night photography: Shoot in light-polluted areas without sacrificing image clarity or color fidelity.

Good to know

The filter's neutral color balance means no significant color shift in your final images, reducing post-processing time. It is compatible with any lens featuring a 67mm filter thread. The Super Resistant construction ensures long-lasting performance even in demanding conditions.
