JBL Authentics 500 nero, oro 135 W

The JBL Authentics 500 loudspeaker delivers a vintage-inspired aesthetic combined with modern audio performance. Rated at 135 W RMS and covering a frequency range from 40 Hz to 20,000 Hz, this wired speaker uses seven drivers across a 3.1 channel configuration to reproduce detailed high frequencies and robust low end. The design pairs a black and gold finish with a Quadrex grille and a leather-like enclosure that references JBL's 1970s styling while integrating contemporary features for home audio use.

Advantages

The speaker offers stable wired connectivity and a high rated power that supports clear playback at typical home listening levels. Its multi-driver 3.1 layout and aluminum tweeters provide improved clarity in the upper register, while a SlipStream™ bass port enhances low-frequency response. The retro design with gold and black accents makes the unit suitable for visible placement in living rooms or dedicated listening spaces. Voice assistant compatibility is included to allow hands-free control when integrated with supported services.

Suitable for

• Home audio playback in living rooms and media rooms
• Music listening where clear highs and defined bass are desired

How to use

Place the JBL Authentics 500 on a stable, level surface away from direct sources of heat and moisture. Connect the speaker to your audio source using the supplied wired connections and set source levels to a moderate starting volume. For balanced room sound, position the speaker so that the front drivers have a clear line of sight to the listening area and allow some space behind the unit for the bass port to operate effectively. Use the available voice assistant integration to control playback and basic functions once configured with your network and account settings.

Recommendations

For best performance, allow a short break-in period at moderate volume to let drivers settle, avoid sustained maximum volume levels to protect components, and place the speaker where its retro design and front-facing drivers are unobstructed. When integrating voice assistants, follow the manufacturer’s setup steps to ensure secure network and account configuration.
