Why choose it

Beyond flare reduction, this hood adds a layer of physical protection for your lens front element, guarding against accidental bumps and scratches. The bayonet mount ensures a precise fit with no wobble, and the matte interior minimises internal reflections for cleaner images.

Ideal use cases

• Landscape photography in bright sunlight
• Urban shooting with strong side lighting
• Protecting the lens during travel and outdoor adventures
• Video recording where flare can ruin footage

Good to know

The JJC EW-53 is a direct replacement for the original Canon EW-53 hood, offering the same functionality at a more affordable price. It does not obstruct the filter thread, so you can still attach filters or the lens cap without removing the hood. The silver colour is matched to the lens's finish, maintaining a seamless look on your camera.
